Scanlation Groups: Kawaii Scans

With Jmanga no longer in business Kawaii Scans decided to resume this manga from where they left off. So here's the final chapter of volume 1. In this chapter, Nako and Ren take care of a stray cat. As usual, hilarity ensues.

A quick summary of the series is that Nako is a poor girl that gets a job at Ren's gem store. Ren is rich, and has little common sense. She's also a lesbian, but constantly says that Nako is not her type. Of course Ren is constantly being tsundere while she says it. So this is a mostly 4-koma comedy story.

Yuri Level: 2 out of 10
This is very much a comedy-centric chapter focused on animal humor. So next to no romance in this chapter.

Crimson Fantasy

Scanlation Group: Yuri Project and Wings of Yuri

Here's a very long story about a girl named Ayame. She gets pushed to live in a new town, and there she meets the beautiful and mysterious Ginka. Her first encounter with Ginka involved getting called Shino for an unkown reason and then getting a big kiss from her. And then just as quickly as it happened she meets Ginka for the first time a second time. So with a beginning like that you can probably guess the story has supernatural inclinations. It's a good, enjoyable story.

It's a highly recommended read.

Hooray for a Sanya and Eila doujin! So here's a cute doujin featuring the couple. Basically, Sanya is trying really hard to stay awake today to be with everyone else. Cuteness ensues.

Not the most overly romantic story, but it's still cuteness of these two.

Out of nowhere here is dynasty scans releasing something new. I do miss when they regularly released all kinds of stuff. This story is a one-shot about a girl who is getting bullied, and the main character, Saki decides to approach her. So she gets bullied as well.

Yuri Level: 4 out of 10
Not the most romantic of stories so the rating is low.

Summary? What summary? This is actually just a collection of pictures that the author describes as "a yuri book full of girls flirting with each other." They also say that they didn't have time so it's short.  That's all it is. So enjoy I guess?

Oh and it's also the artist for Monster Monpiece. If there turns out to be some yuri in the game then I'll cover it on the blog.

Sleeping Beauty's Dream Volume

So the final chapter of this volume finally came out. This is a volume of various one-shot stories, so I'm going to be rating and summarizing each one individually. Starting with the first chapter, "Sleeping Beauty's Dream." It's a cute story about a tsundere (as you can tell by the picture) who got kissed by the girl she likes. She has trouble accepting the kiss, because she's a tsundere of the words Akira says afterwords. It's a lighthearted story.

Yuri Level: 10 out of 10

The second chapter is "Blank." It's a story about a girl, named Minaho, who lost her memories of the past two years. She ends up having a girl she doesn't remember visiting her each day. So the question arises  "Is she coming to visit the current Minaho? Or the old Minaho?" It's a very drama-filled story, and I'm not going to spoil the ending. That's the basic set-up.

The third chapter is "Twelve Year Age Gap, Six and a Half Mat Room." This story is about an established couple about a highschool girl, and an adult who lives in her own apartment. Itoko is a grumpy adult who barely leaves her house. So in short she's a NEET. Hatoko, is an upbeat and carefree girl. They make for a very polar opposite couple, but they love each other.

Here's a new Saki doujin featuring Toki and Ryuuka from the Achiga Hen spin-off. They were always such a cute couple in the show. Even though it's still forced to be subtext they were always blatantly happiest being together. Anyway, this doujin is set past the events of the show, and is just an average day of these two living together. It's a very cute story.

This is the final chapter of Cirque Arachne. It's basically an epilogue for the story. The main meat of the story was last chapter so this is pretty much a chipper simple ending. It's enjoyable.

Teach Tea Songs and My Little Sister is Too Cute

Here's two old titles that are loosely connected to each other. The first one is Teach Tea Songs. It revolves around a girl named Uta that is being taught tea by a woman named Kaori. Uta asks if Kaori is married, and she finds out that Kaori is not married. She also finds out she's deeply interested in Uta.

My Little Sister Can't Possibly be This cute!

The second story is My Little Sister is Too Cute. The senpai that briefly appears in Teach Tea Songs is one of the main characters of this title. In this one the senpai, named Haru, is feeling down, and her older sister picks up on this. Her sister gets advice at work that to cheer her up she should let Haru grab her breasts. So she gets in a bath with her sister, and does just that. You can guess what this leads to.

Hutae Saki

So here's an all-color Saki doujin centered around two of the girls from Saki Achiga-hen. Toki and Ryuuka are alone in a room, and Toki wants to be spoiled a little by Ryuuka. This quickly leads to adult content. Did I mention this is an all-color adult title? That's pretty much it for the doujin. There's no plot beyond that.
