In this chapter Charlotte is off her groove, because of her feelings for Teti. It goes into Charlotte's background in this chapter as well.
A quick summary of the series is that Teti joins a circus after being wowed by a performance by one of the performers. Being such a cheerful and open person Teti was able to befriend the performer, Charlotte, very quickly. It was decided that Teti and Charlotte will be performing a duo performance and so they spend lots of time practicing together. It was during this time that Charlotte realizes she's in love with Teti.
